The mountains cast its shadows on the eastern shores A peaceful night for all souls that wonder about starlight Were stars always there in the midnight air? And the glory of their beauty makes you realize It's good to be alive to see ... The sunshine on the water sparkling everywhere, sweetness in the air... The trees on the mountain reaches to the sky the clouds flow slowly by... And the flowers on the shorelines are filled with butterflies, birds and dragonflies As you sit here by the water your soul begins to fly Your heart feels so high! And all at once you know the meaning of love Love is everything, the mountains, birds and trees! They'll always be here for everyone to share The moon, the stars, the eastern shores will be here forever more! The moonlight on the water sparkles bright tonight, Everything's so right... Inside Story: Cason had her reasons for composing the song "Queen of Hearts" for Princess Diana....    The most noticeable painting of music on the Forver In Bloom CD is the song Queen of Hearts, which Shirley dedicates to the life of Princess Diana. It begins with the church bells that rang in the Town Square as Princess Diana's funeral procession approached the church. Cason states, " I started out the song with the bells of the church because they moved me to tears when I watched it on TV. While I watched, I remembered that Princess Diana was a ballerina. It was then I decided that the Queen of Hearts would start out with the church bells then move into a classical piano section to notes Princess Diana's love for classical music. French accordions were blended in after the piano section to add a "Euro sound" to the song. The song finishes with just the piano and strings. It is at this point that I see Princess Diana dancing again to the classical music she so dearly loved." ~ CD Reviews for "Forever In Bloom" CD ~    Kathy Parsons, MainlyPiano.com "Forever in Bloom" is a collection of original pieces played in a variety of instrumentations on electronic keyboards. Melodic and accessible, most of the songs have a pop influence. Shirley Cason cites Jim Brickman as one of her favorite composers, and there is a somewhat similar approach in both composers' work - an eagerness to please and to soothe the listener. My favorite track is a passionate and darkly gorgeous piece called "Queen of Hearts", dedicated to the life of Princess Diana. A sense of tragedy prevails until an instrument comes in that sounds kind of like an Italian accordion. I find the contrast kind of jarring, but am sure Cason had her reasons for including it in such a heartfelt piece. "Eternity" is also very beautiful, with a sadness and deep sense of melancholy. Sincerity runs through all of Cason's compositions, and most of the ten songs in the collection are on the lighter side. She also writes lyrics for many of her songs and includes them in the liner notes, should anyone choose to sing them - an interesting concept! If you are in the mood for some quiet instrumental music, I think you'll like this album!
